Does it feel like your mind never turns off, constantly replaying conversations, decisions, and “what-ifs”? Maybe you hold yourself to impossibly high standards, overthinking every detail in the hopes of avoiding mistakes.

But instead of feeling in control, you’re left feeling paralyzed. On the outside, you’re getting through daily life and everything seems “fine”, but on the inside, you’re spiraling.

Anxiety and perfectionism don’t just impact your thoughts—they seep into every corner of your life, and can pull you away from the things you care about. With supportive guidance and effective tools, anxiety doesn’t have to control your life.

FAQ

  • We cannot get rid of emotions, even the most difficult ones like anxiety. But we can learn to manage anxiety in a different way so that it doesn’t completely overwhelm you and take over. Anxiety is an evolutionary adaptive emotion. Instead of battling it, to “get rid” of ever feeling it, we can listen to the wisdom of what emotions are trying to tell us, and then use healthy coping to get back on track.

  • Therapy is the perfect starting point for anxiety and perfectionism. It helps you identify everything attached to anxiety— your internal narratives and core beliefs, how it feels and manifests, and the behaviors it leads to. But therapy alone isn’t enough for reducing anxiety and stress. The real magic in between sessions when you apply skills and practices (that you learn in session!) to daily life. I have all the tools to help you succeed in this.

  • Life is, unfortunately, full of distress. The difficult experiences, phases, emotions and thoughts are all built into being human. You’re right that therapy can’t change that. But therapy can change how you hold and react to these intense moments and feelings, so that they feel less intense and you can choose to make more meaningful decisions that lead to more fulfillment.
